Unanswered: Extracting single record from export file

Is there a way to extract a single record from a table export file exported in Oracle 10g? I do not want to have to re-load the entire table, I just need to know what is in 1 record.

If not, can the table be reloaded under a different name on the import so I would have a temporary table to use for the search? That way I would not touch the data in the original table and could delete the temporary one when I am done.

    Thanks.

You can't rename a table during import, but you could import the table to another schema using the fromuser and touser parameters.

Of course it can be done by query parameter.

query= is a parm for export, not for import...
