    Unanswered: error when inserting time field

    Hi
    i try to insert time field in my oracle db
    it gives me error message says
    "not a valid month"
    any help?

    You need to specify the format of your date/time literal. Check out the to_date() function in the manual.

    (btw: what datatype is the column you are trying to update)

    It would help if we saw the insert statement and the table structure. While Most of us are good, I don't know of anyone who is a mind reader.
