    Lightbulb Unanswered: JOIN in Oracle

What is the Oracle equivalent of below SQL Server Query
    INSERT INTO mytab(a)
    SELECT cotent.imp
    FROM B LEFT JOIN ( B AS cotent INNER JOIN tab2 ON cotent.imp = tab2.col4 ) ON cotent.tempo = 1

What does this query do? I can't fathom how it apparently outer joins table B to itself (aliased as "cotent"), with a join condition that doesn't reference table B (aliased as "B").

Maybe you just want this? :-
    Code:
    INSERT INTO mytab(a)
    SELECT B.imp
    FROM B LEFT JOIN tab2 ON B.imp = tab2.col4
    WHERE B.tempo = 1
