    Unanswered: Controls- weird behaviour!

    Hi All,

I'm using Excel 2003. When I use controls from the control toolbox on a worksheet the text inside appears slightly compressed and distorted- until you click on them that is- then they appear fine. When they lose the focus they shrink back by a pixel and the text looks distorted again. I can't find any settings or properties relating to this. I also use Excel 2000 and there is no problem. Has anyone else experienced this behaviour? Any help greatly appreciated as always.

    Controls and Zoom

    Hi

If your sheet is zoomed out (75%) the text in a VBA text box is warped and there is nothing to do about it.

I only use controls on userforms. They were created for that purpose because in most programs you cannot just enter a value in a cell.

So use cells instead of controls. If you want a drop down list see the much easier way to do it with "Data/Validation" at:
