    Unanswered: SQL loader

    Platform- unix

I have two queries related to SQL loader.

    1. I have a set of txt files . and i want to upload it together. I know how to do it for one file.. I want to know, how we can do the bulk upload.

    eg : file1.txt,file2.txt,file3.txt

I want to upload all these files in one script.

    2. While uploading multiple files, i need to facilitate the table with one column having file name also which is uploaded.

    eg : table columns

while doing normal upload, only column1,2 and 3 gets uploaded and filename is empty.. but what i want is, each time the particular file is uploaded , the corresponding filename has to be uploaded also.

    and so on

I hope these two things can be made in one script..

    Help me out pls.

I suggest you RTFM concentrating on the topic of "external table".
Between external table(s) and Small Amount Of Programming (SMOP) in PL/SQL, you'll have a customized working solution.
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
