Unanswered: Auditing the DBA in Oracle
Oracle Versions 10g, 9i, 8i
Operating Systems AIX, Windows 2000, 2003
I just wanted to head check something here after reading through several web sites and the "Configuring and Administering Auditing" section of the 10gR2 manual.
If I want to audit users that have the DBA role, I have to set the AUDIT_SYS_OPERATIONS parameter to TRUE, correct?
And if I do that, then ALL actions performed by users with the DBA role will be logged to the OS log file (and nothing will be logged to AUD$), correct?
If I want to audit only CREATE ANY TABLE, INSERT ANY TABLE, DELETE ANY TABLE, DROP ANY TABLE privileges for users with the DBA role, I cannot, correct?
Have you hugged your backup today?
