    Unanswered: Inserting arabic characters in oracle table

    I want to insert arabic characters in my oracle db. I need create table and insert syntax to insert arabic characters.
    Can anyone help me???

    You need to make sure your database is created using UTF8 characterset. After that simply use INSERT statements to insert the data. You have to make sure to use an UTF8 capable front end.

    Oracle along with every other RDBMS is too dumb to know or care about which language is stored in it. All characters are processed using the same algorithm. It is the external components which need to be "customized" to deal with non-ASCII characters.

    Also on the client and server side, you may want to set the NLS_LANG environment variable to "Arabic" (check out the manual for settings).
