    Unanswered: catalognode

    All-

    How do i find a catalog node in a 8 way multipartition system.
    One of the documenatition says you can list db directory and you will see a catalog node in that right.

    The command "list db directory" will list the db names and aliases and which node they are defined on. Using the "list node directory" command will give you the definition of those nodes.

    What definition of nodes it will give ? can you paste out put of it.

    My question is , in 30-way mutlti partition system , how do i know the catalog node when i first login?

    It would be easy if some one tells you taht 1 or 2 is catalog node.
    But with out knowing taht how can find a catalog node in a 30 way partition system.

    Attach to a node and run the following:

    get snapshot for database on MyDB

    Look for entry at top labeled: "Catalog database partition number ="
