Unanswered: How to get DB2 Version

    Hello.

This is a really silly question: if all I have is a client machine running iSeries navigator, how can I find out what version of DB2 is a server running? (as in is it DB2 9 ? )

    Cheers,
    Dan

    thanks rahul.
So I take it, if there is no sysibmadm library at all on the server, that means it is not DB2 9 ?

    cheers,

    cant say anything about iseries
but if you have access to server you can try running db2level on command window to tell db2 version.
running this on clint machine will tell the client version which may be at different version than server and still compatible.
also you can only use sysibmadm schema if you have relevent authority
