    Mr Google Say

    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\winword.exe" "C:\My
    Documents\doc1.doc" /mFilePrintDefault

    so in accesss

    I would do something like

    Sub Printit(FileName)
    Dim ret
    Dim WordEXE
    Dim This

    This = "/mFilePrintDefault"
    WordEXE = Chr(34) & "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\winword.exe" & Chr(34)

    Filename = Chr(34) & filename & Chr(34)
    'the chr(34) just puts the " in place and easy way of doing it them learning
    'so If there are spacees in any thing the command does see it as a new command
    '(back in the old when you couldn't have spaces in folder name life was a easy)
    'now let run the command
    ret = shell(WordEXE & " " & Filename & " " & This,vbNormalFocus)

    End Sub
