Red face Unanswered: Multiple Listeners - Load Balancing

This is a two part question: 1. Can Oracle load balance TCP requests that arrive on one port over mulitple listeners . Or does Oracle provide additional software that can do this load balancing in a round-robin fashion to distribute the load amongst listeners.
    2. Is there an advantage in using the "load balance" option with a listener, one listener listening on many ports as opposed to have many listeners each just listening on one port.

    NO.
    2. Is there an advantage in using the "load balance" option with a listener,
    NO.

The Oracle listener ONLY is involved in establishing a NEW connection into the database. After the client connects to the database, the listener is out of the picture for the duration of that client session.
