    Unanswered: error while Importing database

    Hi All,

When I was importing Informix Database, there is an error LOAD FILE HAS DIFFERENT NUMBER OF COLUMNS THEN TABLE. This is when importing on LINUX.

But that was importing fine when I did the same on Windows.

Could any one help me, whether is there any mistake which done by me or is there any thing that has to be changed.

    Command that i used is:
    dbimport name -i <path> -d name

    Thanks.

When you export database in Windows environment, you should also import it in Windows. Otherwise you can have problems with line or column separators and thats probably your case. I think you have windows line separators in database export files(created by dbexport), which are not correct in Linux environment.
So transform exported files to unix-like files with some utility, or create export of the database in Linux.
