Unanswered: How to remove carriage returns from the end of a selected field using Oracle SQL

I am selecting a varchar field from a table and I need to remove the carriage returns from the end of that field in the generated output. Right now in my output I have some rows with 10+ carriage returns at the end.

    Any suggestions?

You can use the trim function (Note that you can specify the character that should be trimmed)

As an alternative you can use replace or regexp_replace
