    How to get the client IP from log file of IIS on web server?

    Hi,

    I want to reterive client IP Address from the log file of IIS on the web server

    Pls help

    You have to make sure the option is on to log it. IIS can log in different formats, but as an example of defaults :

    Look in c:\windows\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC1

    The heading will show whitespace-delimited column names like:

    #Fields: time c-ip cs-method cs-uri-stem sc-status

    So in this example, c-ip is the second (c-ip = Client IP) field.

    So in the line below:

    14:51:37 127.0.0.1 GET /favicon.ico 200

    We can see 127.0.0.1 was the Client IP.
