Unanswered: Allowing a tick box in Pivot Table Layout

    In a Pivot Table Layout…

I have added a number of fields to "Page", located on the left hand side of the Pivot Layout. For example, I have dragged the Year field into the Page layout. Next to the field is a combo box, which allows me to select a specific year...

Problem I am having is that I want to select more than one specific Year, For example, View 2003 and 2004 at the same time.

Is it possible to change it into a tick box... Thanks in advance

Howdy. I don't think that is possible. You would have to add whatever combinations needed in the original table.

Yes. In fact, chapter 12 of the book VBA and Macros for MS Excel by Bill Jelen (MrExcel) et al, provides code for working with Pivots to overcome many of these limitations. I have used that code several times. It is worth it to buy the book just for that chapter alone.
