    Unanswered: Is like Null

I'm trying to filter a report. Basically what I'm doing is trying to show which packages don't have a box associated to them. If they don't have the box associated to them the ITEM NUMBER field is blank. Therefore I need the ITEM NUMBER field to be equal to Null? What is the command for Null?

    WHERE field1 IS NULL

    ??

Nothing can be equal to NULL because NULL by definition is unknown. Therefore NULL = NULL will never evaluate to true.

Thanks for the response but I figured it out. What I did was made all the NULL values report out as No Box then I selected only No Box values. Therefore.....selecting all NULLS.

"WHERE field1 IS NULL" looks like SQL.
In Crystal, you can also use "IF ISNULL({fieldalias}) = true" in your formulas.
