    Unanswered: auto incrementing column in a qry

    I want to create a sort order, so i thought create a quick query that will order the pk in the order i want then add that qry to the qry i am using for my report, idea is good, but i need an incrementing colm so the value in each row increments by 1, i am using access 2000

    In the query make a new column with an expression (ex: CC: 1) and then on the report set this field's Running Sum property to Over All or Over Group. This will give you an incremental count for each record (ex: 1, 2, 3, 4....)
