    Unanswered: How do i make a guestbook?

    hiii^^/ i'm newbie here

    HELP! XD

    how do i make a guestbook for my web with php, mysql & apache?
    actually i've tried put the database name & tried all the instruction but i don't know it still doesn't works

    & yeahhh counter too >.<

    oh mannn i'm so stupid.

    Hi Mikyu, nice to see a newbie here.

    Ok, let's start with what you want. As i understand it you wanted a guestbook, which I shall assume includes the following functionality (minimum).

    1) Shows a list of people + comments that have been posted.
    2) Allows anonymous persons to sign your guestbook

    I guess the first question is, do you have a working environment? I have a feeling this is perhaps the problem you have encountered already.

    Have you created a database structure?
    Have you created any PHP code yet?
    Have you created an html layout.

    At the present time i'm not sure how far along the process you have gone. Post some code snippets for us to see + a database layout and i'm sure we can all help.

    download!?

    hi thanx for all m(_ _)m

    my guestbook is FINE now XD
    i just did wrong create a database..that's all [never give up LOL]

    but anyway thanx for your help ^^

    my another question is..i wanna create download in my website, how to make / put some file (example .mp3) for download. in order that people can download my .mp3 in my website. well i don't know the script, using what!? is it same like a guestbook, must create a database? something like that..

    It depends how the client browser is set up. As long as Apache doesn't have a MIME type configuration for .mp3 it should happily serve it up as a file. This will present it to the user as a downloadable file.
