    Unanswered: sqlplus is not working

    Hi All,

Can anyone help me out regarding this? This is very very Urgent for me.
I am facing this problem on Suse Linux 10 Zseries Machine.

I have installed Oracle10gr2 Client on Suse Linux 10 Zseries. But when i tried to run the command sqlplus it is not working.i checked the sqlplus binary in oracle/bin directory and amazingly found it is showing 0bytes.

I have ignored some errors while installing and at end i got a message saying Oracle installation is successful. Is this the problem caused becaz of ignoring the errors or is there any other reason why sqlplus binary is not installed?

    Thanks in advance.

    Were they important errors?

    installer log

    Hi Vinay,

can you please post the installer log ? Would be interesting to see. The sqlplus binary should be about 8K but certainly not 0.

    Thanks: Peter

Can you check your oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/bin and see if you see any folders or executable or anything related to sqlplus-if not then your Install is not correct. May be you can try installing just sqlplus from the CD. How many times did you ignore because installer won't let you ignore if something is required to install.
