Unanswered: Export then Import entire mysql database

    Hi,

I have to transfer a mysql database from one PC to another PC. Both PC's are running Windows XP. MYSQL 5, APACHE and PHP5.

So, is there a command that will Export the entire database so that it can then be imported on the other computer.

Alternatively, can this be done table by table.

    Thanks.

Have a look at the MySQL administrator from the MySQL website.. search for the GUI tools download
you can perform backups and restores from there

If you don't have access to a GUI then I recommend you use the cmd line.
    To export :
    mysqldump -u <username> -p <databasename> > /path/to/filename.sql

    To import :
    mysql -u <username> -p <databasename> < /path/to/filename.sql
