    Unanswered: Where is this error coming from

    SQL> create table test(
    2 test1 number(8,2));
    create table test(
    *
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
    ORA-01654: unable to extend index SYS.I_COL3 by 128 in tablespace SYSTEM


    SQL>
    Could someone enlighten me on the error show above,

    Your SYSTEM table space is full (that's what the "unable to extend" tells you)
    You should either extend the tablespace or - highly recommended - stop creating user tables in the SYSTEM tablespace

    Looks like you use SYSTEM as the default tablespace for one of your database users...... If this is true then I would change this.

    Or, even worse, OP uses SYS account to create a 'test' table.
