    Unanswered: Integrity Constraints

    Hello,

    I am working on an assignment for a class and I am quite confused. I need to build a relational schema to solve a number of queries, but I am not sure on a couple of items

    I have a number of tables that need to be created which I am comfortable doing except for the constraints.

    Example:

    Employee(name,ssn,bdate,sex,salary,superssn,dno)
    Dependent(essn,dependent_name,sex,bdate,relationship)

    Employee.ssn = Dependent.essn
    Employee.ssn = Employee.superssn

    Is this possible??? How do I create the constraints???

    Thanks in advance

    You need a couple of foreign keys constraints
    You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
    The average person thinks he's above average!
    For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
    Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
