    hello everyone,

Is it make sense to create 2 databases, OLTP for the insert, update and delete and OLAP for selection
and i'll sync between the 2 databases.

    Thanks

Sure it does, in some cases.

You can leave the OLTP database pretty bare as far as indexes, but I would recommend primary keys for all tables. The OLAP database can be indexed for optimal retrieval operations. The down side to this is that the OLAP database will suffer during the updates from the OLTP database, unless you are going to allow dirty reads.

If you are projecting an OLAP database of several hundred GB, I would consider this.
