    Unanswered: reporting across 2 databases

    is it possible to create one ms access report that reads from 2 different ms access databases?

    yes
    either link the tables from the other db permanently or do it at run time.
    data is data.. if you can specify what you want in a query you can do what you want in Access.
    once linked the table is visible in the current application.
    its perfectly possible to pulls data from one MDB and push it out to several dbs' concurrently, its possible to merge data form different db's.
    because Access is a file based mechanism it actually doesn't matter where the data is stored providing you have access privilege to the data.....

    i'll give that a try.
    if both files are password protected, can i assume that it will prompt everytime a user wants to run the report?
