Unanswered: Dynamic input to queries ???

    Hi,

WISH U A HAPPY NEW YEAR

    I'm queriying temp table.
I want to give a different input while executing the query(it should ask the value for the parameter).
In oracle I can do like this,
SELECT * FROM "temp" where yearno=&yearnumber

What to do in Pervasive SQL ???

    Rgds,

How you pass parameters to PSQL depends on the interface you are using.

    Hi,

I'm executing the following queries in SQL Data Manager.

SELECT * FROM "temp" where yearno=2006
SELECT * FROM "temp" where yearno=2007
SELECT * FROM "temp" where yearno=2008
    and so on

So I want to give the yearno while I'm executing the query.
In oracle I can use Substitution variables(yearno can be given while executingthe query).

Is it possible in Pervasive ???

    Rgds,
    Satya

    Short answer, no.
The SQL Data Manager (and all Pervasive tools) are good for troubleshooting but not so good for front end development.
