Unanswered: Export data from Informix SE , import to MS-SQL

I have a machine running Windows 98 SE and in that machine i have a folder named TEST. The structure is showing below...

    TEST
    --DATA
    --TEST1.DBS
    --PRICE
    --SSS
    CHKDATA.BAT
    ISQL.EXE
    --EXE
    --OLDB4
    --FORMS
    --INF
    --BIN
    --ETC
    --MSG

inside the --TEST1.DBS there are lots of .dat and .idx files.
I have also found out that with the isql.exe i can run some kind of sql statements like "Select * from Customers " for example !

    The question is...
How do i export all the data from the Informix SE to a MS-SQL Server.

    Informix to MS SQL

If you are not opposed to using a third-party ETL tool, you may want to try the Data UpLoader to MS SQL Server from Pervasive DataTools. I've used several of their tools over the years and have found them to be very useful.

Before I posted, I checked to make sure their Data UpLoader to MS SQL Server supports Informix SE...and it does.

    Hope this helps!

I have downloaded the software suggested (DataTools to Migrate Data from Informix) and when the program starts , asks for a Source Connection.
Because of the DOS (!!!) style of the database, i can not find a valid one...

I have tried to open some of the .dat files (NO SUCCESS !)

Probably i am doing something wrong but i can not figure out what !

    Any suggestions ?!?!

    Thanks

Those .DAT and .IDX files are probably fixed-length ISAMs. You may want to try the Data Parser for C-ISAM in the DataTools product list.

unload to "myfile.unl" select * from MyTable

one for each table in your database
