    Unanswered: Set server output on

    Hi all,

    Is there any command in DB2 like in oracle which says "SET SERVEROUTPUT ON" Thank you all in advance

    For those of us who do not know oracle, what does the command do? Also list DB2 version and OS.

    You didn't care to tell us what this Oracle command is doing. So I can only guess that it allows you to write to standard output/error? This option is only useful for debugging - production systems are usually multi-tiered, and your application cannot access the database server directly. For debugging purposes, there are several options how you can write data to either a (temp) table in DB2 or to an external file.
