I am not sure if you mean recovering a 2000 database to a 2005 server?

Note: assuming that your database is sql2005 compatible, meaning that you don't have any wierd outdated language code... ie *= in your joins and other outdated info.

Simply, backup your database to an accessible location from the other server, create a database with same name on 2005 server, restore backup on 2005 server, (change your mdf/ldf paths)
resolve any orphan users, logins, etc. ensure your new db is part of the 2005 maintenance plan and any other operational routines you have.
