    Unanswered: Where to download wrkgadm.exe

Anyone know where I can download the wrkgadm.exe file? Since Microsoft embedded it into MSAccess 2002, I don't have it on my computer anywhere and I can't seem to find where to download it on Microsoft's website.

    Hi,

In case you get no other useful response I thought I'd post this. I don't know anything about this site but I found the following link:

    http://jano.asn-noe.ac.at/download/

which I believe is an academic site (part of the Austrian School Network-ASN) and which has a zip file which seems to contain a copy of wrkgadm.exe

How's your German? If everyone else comes up short finding this file, perhaps you can find someone in Austria at the ASN to ask to see if this is legit. I wish I could be more helpful but I don't sprechen. Good luck!

Thanks. I'll take what I can get. It looks like it has it and I'll give it a try. Much appreciated.

My pleasure... I just hope it works out. I never know what to think when I find a file on a site with which I'm not familiar. When I can't find it anywhere else I usually take the risk and I've so far been lucky but I know one of these days it will turn out to be something malicious and I'll mess something up. Anyhow... glad I could help.

BTW... didn't realize you were in madtown... I'm a former milwaukeeian myself. small world.

Tried it but my German is not that good. I was hoping it was just the site which was German but running the wrkgadm.exe file is also in German. Thanks for the link though. Wish it was in English.

Yes - madtown is a great place to live!

Milwaukee is getting too crowded. The west side of Madison (Middleton) has really grown if you haven't been in Madison lately. It's almost as big as Madison and all the new construction (and "rich" district) is now in Middleton (as well as all the new job opportunities).

I didn't think the wrkgadm.exe would be that difficult to find. I would think Microsoft would have it to download but it looks like I'm going to have to boot up one of my old computers to find it.

Is the file copyright protected? I could just give you one since I have every version of Access, but I don't wanna be breaking the law.

I found the wrkgadm.exe file on one of my old computers. There must be something to it being installed with Office 2000. When I copied it to my Vista computer with Office XP and tried running it, I got an error to the effect "Could not open Registry database". So there must be something with the install of Office 2000 to running it.

I couldn't find anything on Microsoft's website regarding it though (except one little blob that says it's built into Office XP+). Maybe I'm not looking in the right place on their site but it'd be nice if there was some more helpful information.

    No, it isn't copyright protected.

I've searched everywhere, and I can't find an English version.

Could you send me the one for Access 97?

    Thanks,

    Al
