    Unanswered: oracle 9i signon

    the person who normally works with oracle is unavailable for a few days and i need to get into oracle. I know the userid is SYS but i do not know the password. is there any possible way to get the password info?? is there an emergency logon??

    If you can get logged onto the database server system DIRECTLY as user oracle, then you can log into Oracle without any password.

    sqlplus
    / as sysdba
