Pity us gals weren't included in your "Hi" title. I feel like I shouldn't even respond.

For future reference, if you want to say "hi" to everyone, and not just the male of the species, say "Hi Folks" or "Hi Everybody". Unlike "guys" neither of those two options is gender specific.

Wow. What a welcome. BTW, according to most dictionaries, "guys" is gender inspecific.

My hardcopy Webster's dictionary defines "guy" as:

    A man or boy; fellow

Granted it does say guys can be either sex, but seriously it bothers me to be called a guy. Just say "folks" and then there is no possibility of annoying people for whom semantics is important. (Remember I am a female in a male dominated profession, it can be very tough at times.)
