    Unanswered: Adding temporary tablespace

    I've got an existing temporary tablespace as follows:

    CREATE TEMPORARY TABLESPACE TBS_TMP_1 IN DATABASE PARTITION GROUP IBMTEMPGROUP PAGESIZE 32768 MANAGED BY DATABASE
    USING (FILE '/db2/tbs_tmp_1.dbf'16000)
    EXTENTSIZE 32
    PREFETCHSIZE 32
    BUFFERPOOL BUF_32K_TEMP;

    I encounter out of temporary tablespace problem during performing index reorg, if I add another one like this:

    CREATE TEMPORARY TABLESPACE TBS_TMP_2 IN DATABASE PARTITION GROUP IBMTEMPGROUP PAGESIZE 32768 MANAGED BY DATABASE
    USING (FILE '/db2_new/tbs_tmp_2.dbf'80000)
    EXTENTSIZE 32
    PREFETCHSIZE 32
    BUFFERPOOL BUF_32K_TEMP;

    I heard that the use of temporary tablespace is round-robin. Can my approach solve my problem? (I've got difficulty to add extra containers to the existing tablespace or enlarge the exist containers)

    Thanks.

    First, please post your DB2 version and OS. I do not know if it will fix your particular problem. The recommendation is to create temporary table spaces using SMS instead of DMS. This allows them to grow as necessary.
