    Unanswered: Database Comparison

In management studio, is there a way to compare databases side by side?
Or would anyone know of any freeware out there that would do such a task?

    thanks in advance.

I have some scripts that cycle through the information schema and the sys tables if you tell us what you are after. Personally I use Redgate and I do not know how I ever lived without it and it is expensive but worth every penny.
“If one brings so much courage to this world the world has to kill them or break them, so of course it kills them. The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.” Earnest Hemingway, A Farewell To Arms.

We used a Teratrax application to do just that a while ago. It did the job but lacked some functionality. Maybe it's much better now.

Also, Microsoft has a Team System for Database Professionals. Never tried it but I've seen it working in a presentation during 2007's TechDays. Seemed quite cool
