I start using huge partitioned tables and need some advice on backup/recovery . A partition is used for a day and only the current day needs to be in RW and backed up . Rest in RO .
In the oracle world, you put all except current day partition in RO mode and than the oracle backup process will not backup up again the datafiles in RO mode . Seems that the COPY proces of DB2 is not working similar, it will backup RO tablespaces if they are in th LISTDEF .

How can you prevent a copy job from copying the same data over and over again in the case of these partitions , so only copy the current partition which is RW ?
