    Unanswered: replacing

    Hello,

This might sound stupid, but i am trying to replace F: with D: at the beggining of one of my colums. Normally I would do this via "find/replace", but there are 700,000 row i have to do this to and that is very tedious. Is there a simple way to do this in SQL.

    Thank you very much.

    use update query
use the replace function or mid$

    eg
    update my tablse set mycolumnanme = "D:\" & mid$(mycolumnname), 4) where left$(mycolumnname,3) = "F:\"
