    Unanswered: table last updated timestamp

    hi all,

    just wondering if there is a buildin column to track the last updated date time on the table level. in 10g, looks like there is a row level timestamp, but not sure if the table level timestamp.

    Thanks, now I learned something new (again today).
    It appears you could get the latest timestamp for a table simply by using the MAX() function; but it would necessitate a Full Table Scan & likely perform poorly.
    You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
