    Unanswered: Oracle 9i startup

Here is an easy question for any DBA...

I am trying to figure out where I can change the Oracle instance to startup automatically when the server is turned on. Right now we are manually running some batch file that starts up Oracle....

    Thanks!

Might the solution be Operating System dependent?
Since you chose to withhold this "detail", I won't try to guess at the solution you require.

I'm curious, is GOOGLE broken for you?

As C-coop's previous posts were asked in one of Microsoft databases' forums, I *guess* it might be one of Microsoft operating systems. If so, go to "Services" and change Oracle database's startup type to "Automatic".
