    Unanswered: Installing Sql Server on Web Server

    Hello friends,

    First time I am posting thread on this forum.

    I am going to develop a web application and I want to use sql server as back end. But the problem is that I dont have sql server installed on my web server.

    I have doubt that I should allocate some space on server and then I have to install sql server in my space or I should install sql server on main web server, please guide me I want to do it ASAP

    it is better practice to have your web server and database server on seperate machines.

    I didnt get what you want to say.
    Should I install sql server on client and server machines both?

    Sean is saying that you should have 2 servers. 1 as your web server and 1 as your database server.
