    Unanswered: view and insert/update?

According to ANSI standard, is an INSERT to a view that will cause the new row to be invisible to the view allowed? For example the view is "SELECT * FROM clothes WHERE color='black'" and I insert a red shirt into that view.

Does your homework explicitly state ANSI, or another standard? There is quite a difference.

Have a look at the WITH [LOCAL|CASCADED] CHECK OPTION.
