    Unanswered: DB2 ODBC error

    Hello,

I installed DB2 v8.1 with fp12 and registered for ODBC to connect to DB2 VSE database. when I connect to database alias (VSE) using DB2 CLP its ok and i can select data from tables. But when I use the same alias to get data using MS Access or MS Excel an error occured.

SQL020N4 "SQLTABLES ." is an undefined name SQLSTATE=42704

note:A snapshot of error msg is attached.

    thanks

yes, this is correct. since udb V8 and odbc you have to install the support for odbc/cli schema. createing stored procedure server - loading packages - define procedures... sqltables is the stored procedure name
have a look at system/db admin guide.... and download latest support for your language. the packages are charname dependent
