Unanswered: tempdb table is not showing

    Hi,
i have created a temp table using tempdb..test_rep using some test user. but when i login as sa it is giving the error message saying that object not found. but when query the sysobjects table for the same name it is showing.
I am able to see when i log out and login through test user. but for sa user only it is not showing.
Can any one reply for this issue?

I tested this in UAT server it works fine but on production box it is not.

    FYI..,
    Both servers are same versions.

    It should be there.

Unless either you used a # which means it will lose it after the end of session.
    OR
The server was bounced which means it will be dropped coz tempdb is built from scratch everytime a server is bounced

Did you try to create it one more time and see if it happens?

In tempdb, all logins but sa become the guest user.
If you're working with sa, look for tempdb.guest.test_rep,
since tempdb..test_rep will be understood as
    tempdb.dbo.test_rep by ASE.

    Hi

    Hi correl and trishvi,

Thanks for the reply. but i did not restarted the server.
I am just a user not a sa here. If you are correct, then can you show some proof like i can query the table.

You can produce your own proof by re-producing the issue and pasting the exact commands you did Corral has a point
