    If db2level states that you are at a FP less than 10, then you can install FP 10. Any FP after 7 is still 8.2. Just think of it this way: FP x for 8.1 is the same as FP (x-7) for 8.2.

    8.2.0 = 8.1.7
    8.2.1 = 8.1.8
    8.2.2 = 8.1.9
    8.2.3 = 8.1.10

    Just download FP10 and install it (follow readme instructions for steps after you run install).

    I would install 8.1 FP16 (8.2.9). There are no feature enhancements after FP10, it is all bug fixes.
