    Unanswered: Log file for rollforward

    Hi,

I am working on DB2 Version 8.1 Fixpack 15. My O/S is Solaris.

Consider I have taken a full online backup of Database which is having 4 tablespaces on Sunday. One of the table space got crashed on Tuesday? How could you check which log file we need to rollfforward the Tablespace which got crashed?

ROLLFORWARD database with QUERY STATUS option will also give you the next log file that is expected for recovery.

Use the include logs option when you backup..That would ease your restore process..That way you need not get the logfiles separate

and from there you will need all log files until the moment of failure (or until the rollforward point, if it is earlier than that).

"It does not work" is not a valid problem statement.
