    Unanswered: Carriage Return Access 2000

In a report I would like to join two fields together and post a new line in between. At the moment on the report my text box is

    =[customer_address] & chr(13) & [customer_postcode]

but it outputs a symbol rather than a new line

    can any one help??

    the symbol is a box

try the intrinsic vba constant vbcrlf
    =[customer_address] & vbcrlf & [customer_postcode]

mind you strictly speaking the postcode should come after the end of the address on the last line of the address

I don't think that will work in a textbox. Try

    =[customer_address] & Chr(13)+Chr(10) & [customer_postcode]
