    Unanswered: SQL30082N Security processing failed with reason "24"

    Hi all,

    I am getting a weird problem,

    I am trying to connect to local database. when I give the command
    db2 connect to sample its able to connect but when i give the command with user id and password it fails to connect. I know the password is correct as I use it to login to my PC.

    SQL30082N Security processing failed with reason "24" ("USERNAME AND/OR
    PASSWORD INVALID"). SQLSTATE=08001

    try using ..
    db2 connect to sample user "azs0309" using "singh123ajay"

    Check if there are multiple entries for the userid azs0309 in /etc/security/passwd file. If there is only one entry you may wanna try bouncing the DBM
