    Unanswered: dbms_job

    I have never worked with dbms_job before, I was asked by our client to drop dbms job no 42. I was puzzled.Attached is the request, can someone explain what this client wanted,I know the terms but need more explaination.

    The job did not run at midnight last evening.

    Also please remove jobs 42 (EXIGENP.CLAIM_MIGRATE.migrate_to_claimssummary and 43 (ETL.UPDATE_ORIGINALRENEWEDPOLICYID. They are not needed.

    As you use DBMS_JOB (and not DBMS_SCHEDULER), you'd do that by
    Code:
    BEGIN
      DBMS_JOB.REMOVE(42);
      COMMIT;
    END;
    Also, you might want to learn more about it by reading the documentation.
