    Red face Unanswered: SQLException: Ref cursor is invalid

    Hi,

    One of the procedure that Iam using is throwing an error

    "SQLException: Ref cursor is invalid" .

    The proc heading is like this

    PROCEDURE Test(i_accountno IN Number,
    i_enddate IN date,
    o_results OUT cur_statementdetails);

    I have found that the eror occurs only when the cusror does not return any rows.

    the cursor is used in below manner

    OPEN o_results FOR
    SELECT C1 FROM T1
    WHERE C2 = i_accountno ;

    If the above query does not return any value, it throws the error.

    Could you please tell me how to prevent this.

    Thanks in advance

    You are drawing dead.
    You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.

    For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
    Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
