    Unanswered: MaxDownloadChanges problem

    Hi

I am using MSDE 2000 as publisher and SQL Server as subscriber. In a scenario multiple publishers push the data to a single subscriber. Replication works fine when the number of updations / inserts / deletes are minimal. When the number of changes are high, after downloading few changes to the subscriber, system fails with the error - could not deliver updates to the subscriber.

I have tried by specifying a value to MaxDownloadChanges, say 100. I have executed queries to update 100 rows and then 50 rows. I have made a new generation after first update (using sp)When the synchronization, every time it updates the first 100 rows and stops. The second 50 are never synchronized. I am surprised of this behaviour. Do i need to use this property in combination with any other property.

    Pls. guide.

    Thanks in advance.

    Raju.

Can't help with the problem but is your poll a bit of a mess? It's a bit like a Henry Ford question...

I like both of your options, they look equally promising to me.

Why does this remind me of the political election we are having?

Lol - vg. I used my election strategy - shut eyes and go for the first one I hit.
