    Unanswered: Case senstive text comparissons (Was "Hi")

    I am suffering form problem that,
    " When i am accessing the Login Id and Password from SQL then it is not case sensative "LOGIN" have same meaning as "login"

    Table (User) value are [ramesh, ram]
    when i am write query
    "Select * form User where User_Name= 'RAMESH' "
    then above result shown by server even 'ramesh' is not like 'RAMESH'

    PLZ HELP ME

    Check out collation settings in Books Online. You have a collation insensitive column.

    Also - it is worth noting that the majority of login systems (including windows) are case insensitive for the username and case sensitive for the password. You could, therefore, confuse your users.
