    Unanswered: MAXLOGMEMBERS error

    Hi,

I am trying to create an Oracle db through the command. It gives the error

    *
    ERROR at line 6:
ORA-02249: missing or invalid value for MAXLOGMEMBERS

    The oerr utility says
/ *Cause: A valid number does not follow MAXLOGMEMBERS. The value specified
/ must be between 1 and the
    / file members.
/ *Action: Specify a valid number after MAXLOGMEMBERS.

Can you please let me know what is port-specific maximum number of log and how to identify the same.

Antony, what is it you do not understand about the error message?

You could use dbca to create the database and/or just the database creation scripts.

    Hi,

I would like to know what is port-specific maximum number of log and how to identify the value. I will be accessing the server through the secured network. GUI or Xmanager access will not be allowed. DB should be created through the commandline only.
